FAQ

CAN THE BUCKWHEAT BE USED ON A TABLE TOP?

Only the Buckwheat 2.0 is designed for table top use.

We designed The Original Buckwheat to be placed between the user's legs for safety reasons. We do not suggest using it outside of the method shown in the instructions. Any use of The Original Buckwheat outside of the designed method of being secured between the users legs could cause serious bodily harm.  The Buckwheat LLC cannot be held liable for the misuse or improper use of The Buckwheat Personal Feeding Tube Holder.

DO YOU HAVE A MODEL WITH AN ADJUSTABLE HEIGHT?

The Buckwheat 2.0 has and adjustable height.

The original Buckwheat works can be customized as needed. The design intent is to keep it simple without parts to clean.

HOW DO I DETERMINE WHICH BUCKWHEAT FEEDING TUBE HOLDER TO PURCHASE?

The size depends on the volume of your syringe. There are 2 sizes of The Buckwheat Feeding Tube Holder, 60 mL and 140 mL. We get more requests for the 60 mL due to the availability of the 140 mL syringes. We are now a stocking dealer for the MONOJECT™ 140 ML SYRINGES with a catheter tip.

WHAT GUARANTEE DO YOU HAVE?

100% satisfaction guaranteed. If you are unhappy for any reason just ship the product back within 30 days of purchase and we will refund your purchase less the cost of shipping.

HOW TALL IS THE ORIGINAL BUCKWHEAT STAND?

The Original Buckwheat is 24 inches tall and has worked for 99% of the people we have shipped it to. Only one person has asked for a custom length, which we offer custom lengths with no extra charge. To make sure that the typical length fits you should sit in a chair and measure from the top of the chair to the top of the syringe attached to your PEG extension set with enough height for proper flow. This will give you the height required.

WHY DO I SEE SCRATCHES ON MY BUCKWHEAT?

Anodizing creates a durable coating that can be a great coating for medical device parts but, it cannot hide scratches or die marks created prior to anodizing. Aluminium naturally reacts with air to form an aluminium oxide on surfaces. Aluminium oxide is quite hard, but the surface oxidation is not very thick. Through the process of anodizing, the oxide coating is thickened and becomes a very useful barrier against corrosion. If you incur a scratch that is down to bare metal you need to apply a thin coat of clear nail polish to the area to prevent it from oxidizing.
